May 31st....behind a couple days. So today, I found a bird. I named him Blue. He was flapping his wings but couldn't seem to get out of the water. So after making several failed attempts and almost falling into the water myself, I managed to scoop Blue, the pigeon, out of the water. He sat on the front of my canoe just staring at the sun for a couple of miles till I found a sunny shore to drop him off at. I believe he was a homing pigeon. He was wearing a blue tag with the numbers 200.5, 0005. So if anyone knows what to do with that number let me know?

Fishin
So I was looking for somewhere to drop anchor last night, and I ran into some guys fishin'. Some beers and two catfish later, he decided to give me a fishing pole. He said it was crazy rowing all that way without taking a fishing pole. Thanks Wes.

First nights sleep
First night went pretty well except for the geese. They arrived some time just before dark and kept me up all night. One night and I already wish I had brought a gun.

Delay of trip
Due to continued high river levels, I have decided to postpone my trip by a week, at most two weeks. I will publish my start date in a few days.
